24 weeks
Hi friends! I hope you all had a great Memorial Day weekend! Although the weather was WAYYYYYYYYYY cooler than last year the kids insisted upon swimming in the FREEZING pool! :) We had a cookout on Sunday and relaxed on Monday. We have A LOT going on in the Gomez household, so life has been crazy BUT I keep telling myself something I saw on Facebook, "Too blessed to be stressed!" even though life is going through a "whirlwind" phase right now and everything is happening at once, it's all amazing things so I just need to calm down, chill out and realize how blessed we are! :) Now, on to the update...
How far along: 24 weeks
Symptoms: tired...I have a feeling that this is just how my pregnancy is going to be. I mean I need to give myself some credit, I work full-time, I have a 7 year old and a 3 year old to take care (and hubby steps up A LOT!) and I'm older now! ;) *same as last week! ;)
Weight gain/loss: holding steady at 8-9 lbs gained total
Gender: Surprise baby!!! :) We found out with both Manuel and Mia, and since this will be our last child (I can't imagine a 4th c-section) we figured this one should be a surprise!
Maternity clothes? yes!
Sleep: seems to be getting a TAD better...some nights I only wake up once to pee, WOO HOOO! :) BUT, the random leg cramps and round ligament pain has started too, so you win some, you lose some! :)
Food cravings/aversions: nothing really...I always want sushi (cooked)
Movement? all the time. I love it!
What I miss? A FULL nights sleep
Best moment(s) this week: on Monday (5/20/13) Manny felt the baby move for the first time. It was a very special moment! :)
What I'm looking forward to: our trip to the beach on Friday through Sunday (my bday! :))
Next appointment: June 12th...and my glucose test! Yippy! ;)
And for good measure my 24 week (almost, I took this a few days before my 24 week mark) bump

23 weeks
Happy Monday Ya'll (I always wanted a Southern accent! ;)) I hope everyone had a great weekend! It was a very busy weekend around our house, and I have pictures to share, but that'll have to wait. I just wanted to post my weekly update ON TIME this week! :)
How far along: 23 weeks
Symptoms: tired...I have a feeling that this is just how my pregnancy is going to be. I mean I need to give myself some credit, I work full-time, I have a 7 year old and a 3 year old to take care (and hubby steps up A LOT!) and I'm older now! ;)
Weight gain/loss: So yes, I went to my OB appt last Wednesday I have officially gained 9 lbs! This is 100% in the normal range for someone who started their pregnancy "overweight" according to the BMI scare, so I'm fine with it, it was just the "jump" that I didn't like! :) My doctor assured me all is well, but still! :)
Gender: Surprise baby!!! :) We found out with both Manuel and Mia, and since this will be our last child (I can't imagine a 4th c-section) we figured this one should be a surprise!
Maternity clothes? for the most part, just for comfort sake. I could squeeze into my pre-prego maternity pants, but why? ;)
Sleep: It could be better! :) I get up at least 2 times a night to pee. I try to limit my water intake after a certain time, but I can't help it. If I'm thirsty, I'm thirsty! :)
Food cravings/aversions: I really want sushi (cooked, of course! Prego or not, I only eat cooked sushi! :)) and steamed crabs. Maryland is known for their steamed crabs and this time of year it's just a necessity!
Movement? a lot! It was funny the other day the kids were bickering and the baby was moving like crazy! To think that he/she will be involved one day brings a smile to my face! :)
What I miss? A FULL nights sleep
Best moment(s) this week: after an emergency trip to Labor and Delivery on Thursday, the best moment was definitely finding out that everything was fine with Baby G! It was a very scary few hours!
What I'm looking forward to: our mini-vacay at the end of the month. Since we are moving next month and you know, having a baby ;) we aren't taking a week long beach trip this year. So instead we are heading down for a few days just to enjoy the beach, eats lots of yummy food AND of course, get our annual Old Time Photo! :)
Next appointment: June 12th...and my glucose test! Yippy! ;)
And here is my 23 week bump! :) (and a very dirty mirror! ;)

22 weeks and Mothers Day
My Mothers Day was absolutely fantastic and I hope with all my hearts yours was too! :) Mothers Day is a tricky holiday for me because although I am relishing in the utter joy that comes with being a Mommy and I have NO idea what infertility/loss feels like (thank God!) I do know the absolute heartache my sister experienced for years while she yearned for a child, and even the loss she feels now, while enjoying being a Mommy to two rainbow babies, still missing the triplets! I also have 3 friends on Facebook who struggle with infertility (I'm sure many more, but 3 that I know of) and my heart just breaks for them!!!!!! :( I try not to make every holiday sad thinking about the "other side" but I certainly never take any of it for granted and do think about others who are hurting while we are celebrating.
Saturday night the kids and Manny took me out for a Mothers Day dinner. I knew that with having a big brunch on Sunday, I certainly wouldn't want a big dinner too, so we opted for a Saturday night celebration! :) We went to a local steakhouse that I LOVE! Afterward, we went to a local frozen yogurt place that I had never been too and it was DELICIOUS! I think my favorite part of the entire evening was just cracking up, at random moments with Manny and the kids, over just silly nonsense! :) You can't beat those belly laughs! :) AND, it started to POUR down rain while we were pulling up to the yogurt place and when Manny asked us if we wanted him to drop us off out front I said, "No! It's only rain! Let's have some fun!" and we sure did! We cracked up (and got drenched! ;)) as we ran from the car to the shop. As we left, the rain was even harder and once again, we had a blast running it. Sometimes friends, you just don't need an umbrella! :)
Now, here's my prego update for the week and a bunch of pics from yesterday (more to come, once my cousin posts hers :)
How far along? 22 weeks
Symptoms: still more tired than ususal, or so it seems, and I'm pretty hormonal...I know all of this is normal but my first two pregnancies were amazing, start to finish, so feeling even a little "off" just seems hard to me.
Weight gain/loss: Get ready to pick up chins up off the floor, but I'm guessing that I'm up a total of 9 lbs now. Yes, I went from about 0 lbs gained to 8 lbs overnight ;) but I'm still right in the "normal" range for someone who started off a pregnancy overweight (according to BMI standards). I'll have my "official" doctor weight on Wednesday, but I'm pretty sure it's about 9lbs total.
:) I think I just need to stop drinking so much water before bed! That would definitely help!
Food cravings/aversions: nothing new or unusual
Movement? a lot!
What I miss? I really want a hot dog! :)
Best moment(s) this week: feeling the baby move, getting to spend Mothers Day with my amazing family
What I'm looking forward to: my appt on Wednesday
Next appointment: May 15th

5 of the 8 great grandchildren (Angelina (in the white) is my cousin Tanya's beautiful daughter :)) They came down from New York to celebrate Mothers Day with all of us.
My cousin Megan and I (18 weeks prego vs. 22 weeks prego :) We are SO excited to be having babies close together so they can grow up together! :)
The sweet boy who made me a Mommy is growing up! :(
And what Mothers Day post would it be if I didn't share the pic of Manuel's card he made at school? :) It says, "My mom is 31 years old. My mom is prettest when she is at church. My mom likes to make pizza. My mom always says no. (UGH! Didn't like reading that! ;)) My mom is funny when she makes jokes." Love this kiddo! :)

21 weeks (and 3 days ;)
I was 21 weeks on Monday, but with it being my nephews 5th birthday, I just didn't feel right posting about myself and my pregnancy and then time just got away from me! :)
How far along? 21 weeks 3 days
Symptoms: I feel like my face still looks awful! :( and I have been eating everything in sight (not really, but it sure feels that way! ;))
Weight gain/loss: I'll find out officially at my appt next week, but honestly, even though it's only been 10 days since my last update, I swear I'm up AT LEAST another 3 lbs, for a total of 7 (or so) lbs. That is actually really good and "normal" but because it's all happened so quickly and I just feel huge and "blah". I know this is all a blessing, trust me, I know, but I'm just being honest! :)
Gender: Surprise baby!!! :) We found out with both Manuel and Mia, and since this will be our last child (I can't imagine a 4th c-section) we figured this one should be a surprise!
Maternity clothes? mostly. I can still squeeze in some of my pre-prego clothes but for comfort and what makes sense, mostly maternity! :) Not to mention my belly popped SO high that I feel like there is no other option :)
Sleep: It could be better! :) I think I just need to stop drinking so much water before bed! That would definitely help!
Food cravings/aversions: still disgusted by the thought of frozen pizza and oddly enough, tacos. Oh yeah, and ground turkey...I was 100% a ground turkey over ground beef girl before pregnancy, now, not so much!
Movement? a ton and I LOVE it! I felt it on the outside of my stomach last Sunday at church, so I know the day when Manny, Manuel and Mia will be able to feel it will be soon. I just have to time it right because obviously I can feel it from the inside and out! :)
What I miss: a full nights sleep, but again, if I stopped drinking so much water before bed, I think that would help! :)
Best moment(s) this week: feeling the baby move more and more! :)
What I'm looking forward to: Mothers Day brunch with my family on Sunday and my next prenatal appointment on Wednesday. Fingers crossed Kelli can get some 3D pics of Baby Gomez :)
Next appointment: May 15th
And because who wants to see a post and no pics? (not me! ;) Here a few from the last week or so :)
Manny and I on our "fishing date" :) (his mom took the kids to the zoo so hubby and I went fishing :) We both LOVE to fish! :)
Sending balloons to Heaven on their cousins 5th birthday
Manuel does SO awesome in school, and I could be more proud...ESPECIALLY with test scores like this! He gets his brains from his Mommy! ;)

Happy 5th Birthday Sweet Boys
Happy Birthday to my sweet nephews Mateo, Ian and Anthony! I truly can't believe you are turning FIVE today...we wish you were here on Earth to celebrate this big day but know you're in Heaven having the grandest of celebrations! :) We love you, miss you and talk about you all the time! We'll see you one day sweet boys, until then, know that you are never far from my thoughts and prayers! :)
**I am always very conscientious to make sure Manuel, Mia (and eventually Baby #3) know that they have 3 cousins in Heaven, and it's extra special when the kids say something that lets me know they "get it". Of course Manuel has gotten it for many years, but this is the first year that Mia understands/is starting to understanding as reflected in our conversation this morning... driving to Linnie's today and Mia says, "Mommy, why aren't you singing?" I reply, "I'm too tired to sing" but then realize I love the song that's on the radio so I start singing again. Mia says, "Why are you singing now Mommy?" I said, "Because I love this song and I love Jesus!" She says, "I love you Jesus too...and PopPop (my dad)...and the babies. Can the babies come to my house and play when they get bigger?" I reply, "No baby, I'm sorry they can't. They are in Heaven." Mia said, "When I get to Heaven, I'll see them." And I said, "Yes, but not for a long, long time. Once you're much older!" Mia said, "I can't wait to be older. When I get older I'll get to be Bap-a-tized and see the babies!" :) Give your children lots of extra hugs and squeezes today for those moms and dads out there who aren't lucky enough to be holding their babies in their arms! :)

20 weeks
Well friends, we have reached the halfway mark in the pregnancy of Baby Gomez #3! :) So remember how on my 18.5 week post I said it was crazy that I was almost halfway there, wellllllll, I'm not going to say, "I can't believe we're halfway there!" because if I'm being honest, it hasn't flown like my pregnancies with Manuel and Mia! ;) I'm NOT complaining, just stating facts! :) With Manuel and Mia I swear I found out I was prego and it seemed like the next day I was giving birth :) I'm not sure if it's because we found out SO early (I knew I was prego when I was barely 3 weeks post conception), or if it's because we aren't finding out (honestly, I think that has A LOT to do with it! :)) something doesn't seem so "quick" this time around! :) I keep reminding myself that this will be my last time carrying a child so I need to enjoy every minute!!!! :)
How far along? 20 weeks
Symptoms: my face is SO broken out! :) It looks like I have a constellation on my forehead with pimples! ;)
Weight gain/loss: Eeeek, after a day of carbs yesterday, I swear I'm up a total of 4 lbs now! :)
Gender: Surprise baby!!! :) We found out with both Manuel and Mia, and since this will be our last child (I can't imagine a 4th c-section) we figured this one should be a surprise!
Maternity clothes? here and there, but I can still wear all of my pre-prego shirts and all of my pre-prego pants (with the help of my belly band! ;))
Sleep: It could be better! :) I think I just need to stop drinking so much water before bed! That would definitely help!
Food cravings/aversions: nothing really

And in case you missed this picture in yesterdays post. Here is my bump (one day shy of 20 weeks :)
