Goodbye 2013, Hello 2014

As you all are well aware ;) it's New Years Eve and another year is about to come to a close. The saying time flies is probably the biggest understatement ever told...I swear it was JUST January 2013! Our New Years Eve will be low key...pizza making with the kiddos, homemade cookies, games and I'm sure we'll all be asleep WAY before midnight which is fine by me! :) If you recall last New Years Eve was spent in the ER with Mia so low key is what I'm asking for!

Our year has been absolutely full of blessings and I couldn't be more grateful. Of course there have been down times (the top of that list would be hours cut at work, volume completely plummeting and your year to date diminish by +$15,000-not really a good thing when you add a mortgage and a new baby to the mix ;) BUT that's where faith, a reliance on God, and just trying to find the good comes into play, because even with that comes more proof that money CAN'T buy you happiness, and we're the happiest we've ever been! :) We'll make it through this valley and come out better and stronger than ever!

At the top of the list of amazing things that 2013 brought our family would certainly be God blessing us with baby #3, our ever adorable Maci Louise! :) She brings so much joy (and chaos ;) into our household and I can't imagine our lives without her. Speaking of household, another amazing thing that tops our list would be becoming homeowners! We had NO intentions of buying once our lease was up...but God laughed, and certainly had other plans for us! Our home brings me so much joy and I still look around and think, "How is this ours?!??!" Of course 2013 also brought Manuel turning 7 and starting 2nd grade. He continues to be our super sensitive, but increasingly more confident oldest child, our only boy. It also brought Mia turning 3, becoming a big sister and the sassiest almost 4 year old I've ever met ;). And (I know I shouldn't start a sentence with "and" forgive me ;)) it brought my hubby turning 33, getting a promotion at work and busting his hiney, day and night, to make our house a home. The Gomez's are blessed and I can't wait to see what 2014 brings!

This sums up my plans for 2014 (copied from my Facebook :))

As I look back on 2013 I can't help but think how TRULY blessed I am! I know I say that all the time but I mean it from the bottom of my heart! Life is not without trial or struggle but the joy certainly outweighs the bad! My goals for 2014 are simple...eat better/exercise more (lose 20 lbs), start recycling, be more patient with my children and husband, go "greener" (first step: make my own laundry detergent) and lastly, become a prayer warrior for those people that need me! I believe SO strongly in the power of prayer (and just this year have seen prayer change lives all around me!) Please know that when I say "I'm praying for you!" those aren't just words that everyone says, I mean it and I do pray! If you ever find yourself unable to pray, please reach out to me (you can send me a private message) and I promise I will pray and your business will be kept between you, me and God! Wishing you all a happy, safe, blessed 2014!!!

Happy New Years Friends! I pray that your year is filled with blessings beyond measure and a relationship with God if you don't have one! :)

Merry Christmas

One week from today we will be celebrating the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ and enjoying time with friends and family! I'm not sure how much I'll be able to get on here between now and then, so I just wanted to wish you all a VERY Merry Christmas! May the TRUE meaning of the holiday fill your heart with joy, even if finances are tight, you're not close to family, etc. I pray for peace, joy and happiness in your hearts!

Love and prayers from our family to yours! :)

Easy Canvas Prints

It's no secret that I LOVE taking pictures...of my children, my family, my home, my friends, well, you get the picture! ;) There is pretty much a running joke around my family and friends that whenever in doubt, ask Christina, she always has her camera! :) And I do because, although memories can exist, even if they aren't caught on "film" I love looking back at pictures and the flood of memories that they bring. The only thing is, many times I take all these pictures, post them on various social media outlets, and then they are forever stored on memory cards. There is NO way that I could ever print out all the pictures I take, I'd easily be broke in a matter of seconds! :) However, there are those super special shots that you get that you just have to print out in hard copy to display. One of my favorite ways to display the "perfect shot" is on canvas! Now that we are homeowners, I'd love to fill our walls with those special memories that can most beautifully be displayed on canvas.

One company that has amazing, beautiful canvases is Easy Canvas Prints. This company has many options for all of your canvasing needs and extremely reasonable pricing! Easy Canvas Prints also runs fun contests on their blog and Facebook page. Beginning December 15, 2013 fans can upload any photo that they would like printed on canvas as a gift to someone and the photos with the most votes will win prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place! Just for entering the contest you will get a 60% off and free shipping coupon code, so it's a win-win! Go check out their website for all the details!

I can't wait to share the picture of my canvas that I'm going to order of all 3 of the kiddos! It's perfect (well, as perfect as you can get with a 3 month old, an almost 4 and almost 8 year old! ;)

Pour Your Heart Out: My view

As I'm sitting at my kitchen table, working from home, I started to think about some things and as tears stream down my cheek, I thought, "Hmmm, it's been a while since I've posted anything of "substance" on my blog, maybe this should be a blog post..OH WAIT, it's Wednesday, not only will it be a blog post, but it's been a LONG time since I've linked up for Pour Your Heart Out, so maybe I'll do that too" and here we are! My apologies in advance for the length of this post and if it's all over the place.

A quick recap for those of you who might be visiting from Things I Can't Say...back on September 10th, 2013 I gave birth to our 3rd child, a beautiful baby girl (we didn't know she was a girl until d-day :)), Maci Louise. She was born via c-section, and I enjoyed 8 weeks of maternity leave with her, my super sweet (and sassy! ;)) almost 4 year old Mia, and their older brother Manuel (who spends his days in 2nd grade). The "extra" time that I've had with all 3 of my children has been priceless and I was able to do things that I wouldn't have been able to do, had I not been on maternity leave. However, my husband and I also just bought our first house in June, and being off of work for more than 8 weeks (unpaid), was out of the question! So, beginning November 4th, I started back to work, from home. I work in the mortgage business and things have slowed quite a bit, so juggling work and both girls (Maci is quite the colicky baby!) hasn't been an issue at all. It's actually been more manageable than I thought it would and I wish nothing more than to be able to continue to work from home and stay with my girls, but I don't have that option. I will be returning to work on December 2nd, still working from home on Wednesdays and then back in the office full time starting in January. And here's where we start today's post...

My view for the last 9.5 weeks has been this...
She LOVES to be worn in the Ergo :)
And in a short 12 days, my view is going to be very different! :( The tears continue to stream as I write those words and see her sweet little face...leaving your babies is the hardest! I've done it two times before (but with Manuel and Mia I went back in the office, full time, after only 8 weeks) but it doesn't get easier. I know the initial drop off is going to break.my.heart and I'll cry (and I'm an "ugly" crier...hysterical, hyperventilating, puffy eyed, crier...so I should look GORGEOUS when I get to work that day! ;)) BUT she'll be at "the sitters" with Mia, being loved as close to how much I would love her, by Linnie the most amazing lady on the planet who watched Manuel from the time he was 8 months old to when he started preschool at 4. She's watched Mia from the time she was 8 weeks old  and will continue to watch her until she starts preschool, and now it's Maci's turn to be loved by Linnie. There is only one Linnie, and we are SO lucky to have Linnie (I can't imagine how much harder this would all be if she wasn't going to Linnie's) but the fact still remains that my heart is sad and my view will be very different come December! As my literal view changes though, I need to be reminded that my mental view needs to change as well...

You see, Monday, a friend of mine whose husband is battling rectal cancer, learned that her husbands cancer has spread to his lymph nodes. He has to go on unpaid leave from his job (he's an elementary school music teacher) He starts a new chemo today and my heart aches again."M" lost her best friend to cancer back in 1996 and now her husband is battling the cancer monster...the pain must be unimaginable! The fear that she must live with everyday, worrying that her young husband (he's in his mid-30's, as is she) will leave her and their two beautiful children too soon...again unimaginable. So I sit here and dread my leave being up, and having to return to work and leave my babies for 8 hours, but I need to look at this way...I'm healthy, my husband is healthy, my children are healthy, I'm lucky to have a job, it's "only" for 8 hours...that "heartache" that I feel is NOTHING compared to what some people are going through. In fact, it's not really "heartache" at all...yes, it's sad, yes I'll shed some tears, but when I change my "view" of the situation and put it in perspective I should be thankful that I have a job to return, to have someone who will love my girls as their own, that, God willing, my husband, children and I will have years and years to spend together when others won't have that chance and the list goes on and on.

Life is all about perspective and sometimes you just need to change your view (even if you don't want to!)...

Wordless-ish Wednesday

It's been awhile, but life over here couldn't be better! :) The kids are growing like weeds and my sweet Maci Louise turned TWO MONTHS old on Sunday!!! I swear, time passes more quickly with each child. I'm trying to soak up each moment, because I know before I blink, we'll be celebrating her 1st birthday. I hope everyone out there is doing well. I hope to a more active blogger once I return to the office in December (I'm working from home the entire month of November). I'd like to do milestone posts and just general life posts because I do miss blogging! :)

Take care friends!

And for good measure (Maci's 2 month "homemade" photo shoot)

Thank you Tiny Prints!

When Maci was born, I wasn't sure if we'd do birth announcements...not because I didn't want to, but because I didn't do them with Manuel or Mia, so I felt guilty doing them for Maci. But when I was approached by a friend who offered to take pics of the kids for free for her portfolio and Tiny Prints approached me to do a review on their announcements, I just couldn't pass it up! :)

As I perused Tiny Prints website I saw so many adorable designs! It really was hard to make a final decision, but I knew that I wanted to include a picture of all 3 of the children, so when I came across their "3 is the new 2" design, I knew that was the one!

To say that Tiny Prints exceeded my expectations would be an understatement! I was THRILLED with the final product, their customer service and the speed at which I received my announcements. I would recommend them to all my friends and family!

Without further ado...

Thank you Tiny Prints for the 30 free announcements. Although I was given these items, all opinions are my own.

Birth Story

The day started out bright and early for me. I set my alarm for 4:45am, so that I could shower, and make myself presentable before my child arrived! :) I spent a good portion of the morning crying on and off because I just knew that I would miss Manuel and Mia, and the thought of the "what ifs" were getting to me. I woke the kids and Manny up around 5:30am everyone got ready (the kids put on their Big Brother and Big Sister shirts) and we headed to my moms to drop off the kids! :)

Our last pic as a family of 4! :)

I cried (A LOT! as you can see in the pic above my eyes are swollen from all the crying! :)) at drop off, but tried to get in and out as quickly as possible so I didn't make the kiddos sad! We stopped at Dunkin Donuts so Manny could get a breakfast sandwich (lucky guy! I wasn't able to eat! :)) and then headed to the hospital for check-in. We got there a couple of minutes before 7am and checked in. We waited about 10 minutes before our OR nurse came out (along with a  nurse in training) and went back to the pre-op room. That's where everything happened...IV, blood pressure, monitoring the baby, etc. Manny and I kept busy with chit chat, while my nerves escalated! :) Around 8:20am my friend Kelli arrived (Kelli is one of my best friends from high school, who did all my sonograms, and who I chose to be in the OR with us. The only other people I would have wanted was my mom or sister and they would have NEVER wanted to be in there because they are so queasy so easy! :)) Kelli is hilarious and definitely helped bring down our anxiety when she arrived. Before long it was time for them to "suit up" and prepare to enter the OR, while my nurse escorted me into the OR. The OR is a bright place with LOTS of stuff everywhere and definitely very intimidating but I sat up on the table and waited for the anesthesiologist to direct me what to do. He did the spinal (which hurt a bit), I laid down on the table (a little after 9am), they escorted Manny and Kelli, who sat down next to my head and the surgery began. I was trying to make sure to take everything in, and not worry about the "what ifs" and just focus on the moment. We had told Dr. Hunter that when she pulled out the baby that we wanted Manny to tell me what he/she was, so as they were about to pull the baby out, Dr. Hunter said, "Manny, stand up the baby is about to come out." and with that, Manny stood up, looked at me and said, "Meet Maci!" I lost it! I cried hysterically. I knew all along that she was a girl, but obviously until that point, I didn't know for sure! :)

,

My sweet Maci Louise was born at 9:16am, weighing in at whopping 8 lbs 10oz and 21 1/4 inches long. (my biggest baby, by far! Manuel was 7 lbs 11oz and Mia was a little over 7 lbs 3 oz). Manny went over to tend to Maci (put on her first diaper, etc.) while Kelli took a TON of amazing pics (that I will treasure forever!) and I just took it all in while they stitched me up!

Before long I was being rolled to the recovery room (where they keep you until you can wiggle your feet), where my Maci Louise was laid on my chest and we just bonded. Kelli hung out for a bit longer and then left Manny and I to be together, with our newest baby girl! :)

After, what seemed like FOREVER, I could finally wiggle my feet and we were wheeled to my post partum room where 2 children, my mom and Ron waited anxiously to see if a baby girl or a baby boy had joined our family. Manny rolled Maci in (in her bassinet) and as soon as they saw the pink hat, the family knew, IT'S A GIRL! :) Manuel was a little "bummed" (not mad or anything like that, but he wanted a brother but has since grown to love his baby sister SO much! :)) Mia was ecstatic. They both wanted to hold her right away! It was a beautiful moment for me! :)

The day was beautiful and our time in the hospital was great too! We actually were interviewed by a news reporter in honor of the hospitals 50th anniversary! I'll share the link here when it airs! I couldn't believe that I allowed myself to be interviewed with my hair curly (I HATE when my hair is curly! :)) but it was a once in a lifetime opportunity and something that we'll always have to share with Maci! :)) I have a ton more pics to share, I just wanted to share a FEW pics from our first day with our baby girl!

I hope you all are doing well! Take care! :)

39 weeks (a little late! ;)

Hello strangers! :) It's been awhile, and yes this is update is WAY overdue and more importantly, yes, my baby is here, but because I want to document the last week and keep things in chronological order, I needed to post this last update! :) I'm posting this as if it were Monday, a week and a half ago! ;)

How far along? I was 39 weeks on September 9th :)

Weight gain/loss: at the end of my pregnancy I had gained a total of 19 lbs

Symptoms: a lot more cramping then I experienced with my first two pregnancies, especially at night when I roll over! :)

Gender: surprise! I may have a heart attack on the operating table if it's a boy, that's how convinced I am that we are having a girl! :)

Maternity clothes?of course and even then I'm running out of options! :) But thankfully all of my summer dresses (even the non-maternity ones) still fit and look cute! :)

Sleep: still up every couple of hours...my body will definitely be semi prepared with the lack of sleep when the baby arrives because I haven't slept in MONTHS! :)

Food cravings/aversions: still trying to finalize my "last meal" before "D-day" ;) I'm thinking I might need Texas Roadhouse! :)

Movement? absolutely!

What I miss? sleep and REALLY getting to snuggle Manuel and Mia. They can't really fit on my lap as comfy and cozy as they can without a big ol' bump! ;)

Best moment(s) this week: getting last minute odds and ends together as we prepare to welcome Baby #3 into our family! :) Mia and I enjoyed a day together (9/9/13), getting the house ready for Fall, doing a little shopping, etc. It was our last day together, just the two of us, for awhile :) Manuel was at school, or else he would have participated too! :)

What I'm looking forward to: meeting my son or daughter tomorrow! :)

Next appointment: no more appointments...baby will be here tomorrow, 9/10/13

And for good measure, my 39 week baby bump: (my last bump pic :( This was the morning of my C-section)

38 weeks

Hello friends! I hope you had a wonderful Labor Day weekend! :) We hosted a cookout on Saturday and then our day off work yesterday was spent cleaning, doing last minute odds and ends before the baby gets here and the kids played outside A LOT! :)

How far along? 38+ weeks! One week from today (God willing-after someone you love loses a child(ren) you know that there are NO guarantees in life!!), around this exact time, I will holding my newest son or daughter, introducing him/her to Manuel and Mia! :)

Weight gain/loss: I'd say 21 lbs total.

They can't really fit on my lap as comfy and cozy as they can without a big ol' bump! ;)

Best moment(s) this week: taking the kids to Ripken Stadium on Friday for an Ironbirds game! It was our final "hoorah" as a family of 4 and the kids had a great time! :) They did fireworks after the game and they were the best fireworks I've EVER seen! :)

What I'm looking forward to:I literally get a lump in my throat when I picture my mom bringing the kids to the hospital next Tuesday and them walking in, having NO clue whether I'm going to be introducing them to their little brother or sister and the looks on their faces!!! :)

Next appointment: tomorrow, 9/4/13. My last appointment before "D-day" :)

And for good measure, my 38 week baby bump:

37 weeks

*After my post yesterday, I just wanted to say that Manuel had a GREAT first day of school yesterday. I'm so excited that things went smoothly for him. My sweet boy sure is growing up! :)

I'm not going to lie...it feels like YEARS ago that we found out we were pregnant! This is, by far, the my "lengthiest" pregnancy (and of course I mean how it feels not actually time-wise since both of my prior pregnancies were also full term). I'm not sure why it seemed so long this time around...could it be that I knew SO early on (I wasn't even 3 weeks "post conception" when I took the test), or could it be that we didn't find out the gender...who knows, but either way it's definitely dragged. With that being said, please don't think I am ungrateful or have taken this pregnancy for granted, because I haven't. I actually LOVE being pregnant and am really going to miss it! :(

Now, here we are, full term! :)

How far along? 37 weeks (exactly two weeks from today, at this very moment, God willing, I will be holding my sweet baby in my arms! :) I have to be at the hospital at 7am for my 9am scheduled c-section.

Weight gain/loss: 20 lbs total (which I'm ecstatic about!!! :) I HOPE to have this weight off in no time, after Baby #3 gets here! :)

Symptoms: crampy, having to pee every second of my life, and general "fullness" at all times, BUT no waddling from this gal! :) All 3 of my pregnancies and I've never become a "waddler" ;)

Gender: Surprise baby!!! However, I will say again that I'm 99.9% sure this is a girl...call it instinct, call it relying heavily on the Chinese gender chart predictor ;), call it what you will, but I will be SHOCKED if the doctor pulls out a boy! :)

Maternity clothes? yes! And lots of my cute summer (non maternity) dresses that can still be worn and look adorable! :)

Sleep: still up every couple of hours...my body will definitely be semi prepared with the lack of sleep when the baby arrives because I haven't slept in MONTHS! :)

Food cravings/aversions: nothing strange or in excess. I did decide this morning that since, for the first few days after a c-section, you can only "drink" your food (until they can hear movement via stethoscope in your bowels-sorry, TMI) I want my "last meal" to be something awesome...right now I'm debating between sushi or Chili's! :)

Movement? absolutely!

What I miss? sleep and REALLY getting to snuggle Manuel and Mia. They can't really fit on my lap as comfy and cozy as they can without a big ol' bump! ;)

Best moment(s) this week: last Tuesday my co-workers threw me a shower which was SO nice! We received a ton of awesome gifts and lots of gift cards! :) Then Wednesday we got to see our adorable baby up close and personal at their growth ultrasound. He/she was measuring approx 6 lbs 6oz and looks great!

What I'm looking forward to: meeting him/her. We're getting SO close!

Next appointment: 8/28/13

And for good measure, my 37 week baby bump:

"Be kind" (Manuel's first day of 2nd grade)

Those were the words I spoke to my "little" boy as we said prayers last night...today he starts 2nd grade and my biggest prayer for him this year is that he is kind. OF COURSE I want him to excel academically, make friends, etc. but with the way the world is going, with the rate at which "outsiders" are turning to awful measures to get noticed, I just want him to be kind to the children around him. And of course, the words Manny spoke to him before he headed out the door for work..."Be yourself!" Two very simple phrases, but words that can shape his entire year, his entire life! :) We already know Manuel is a smart kid, he excels at reading and at math (although his handwriting needs a ton some work! ;)) but sometimes when it comes down to the basics, the academics need to be on the back burner for a minute, and just focus on the heart of your child(ren) :)

Since I'm going to be on maternity leave starting in 11 days (my last day of work is September 6th, my c-section is September 10th) we opted to not have Manuel attend before/after care for two weeks, so I got to get him on the bus this morning (and will continue to do so until I return to work after my leave) and my mom will be there in the afternoons to get him off the bus. This was the first time I've sent him off to school and HAVEN'T cried (yay me!!!!!! ;) It was fun to watch him get on his bus, in our neighborhood, with all of his little friends (since all prior years he's ridden the bus from daycare). He's really growing up and I couldn't be more proud! :) I hope he has a wonderful first day of school and I HOPE to be back tomorrow with a blog post about how it went :) For now, here are a few pics (from my phone...he wouldn't "allow" me to take my camera to the bus stop! :)) of him this morning...
Although it seems that I'm trying to get a picture of that sibling duo, I'm not ;) My sweet boy (in the green and white stripes) getting on the bus :)
Manuel and his buddy waiting for the bus :)
Sibling photo opt before heading out the door (I got some really cute ones on my "real" camera...at this point, they were over it! :)

36 Weeks

The weeks keep moving along, and I'm one week closer to meeting my baby (I almost said girl, because I'm THAT convinced it's a girl! :)) But we still don't know, so 3 weeks until we meet our newest addition! ;) We are very excited! I'm sad to not be prego anymore though, because I LOVE being pregnant!!!! But I can't wait to become a Mommy again, for Manuel to become a Daddy again and for Manuel and Mia to welcome their new sibling! :) It's definitely a mix of crazy, pregnant emotions! :)

And, I still haven't blogged anything about "life" (other than this pregnancy) which makes me a little sad, but working full time, growing a child ;) , trying to get completely settled into our new house, being a wife and taking care of two little ones is QUITE time consuming! ;) I HOPE to blog more regularly once I'm on maternity leave...we shall see! ;)

How far along? 36 weeks

Weight gain/loss: I'll find out for sure at my next appointment, but I'd guess I'm up a total of 20 lbs now.

Symptoms: having to pee EVERY SINGLE TIME I STAND UP! :)

Food cravings/aversions: nothing strange or in excess

Movement?yes, but it's definitely changing as the baby gets bigger.

What I miss? sleep

Best moment(s) this week: my friends surprised me with a "sprinkle" for Baby Gomez on Saturday night. It was such a sweet gesture for them to celebrate the arrival of Baby #3.

What I'm looking forward to: my growth ultrasound on Wednesday. I'm curious to see approximately how big this little guy/girl is! :)

Next appointment: 8/21/13

And for good measure, my 36 week baby bump:

35 weeks

How far along?35 weeks (this past Saturday it was exactly 4 weeks until my c-section..September 10th!)

Weight gain/loss: At my appointment last Wednesday it was officially a total of 18 lbs gained for my pregnancy with Baby #3, so far! :)

Symptoms: my knees have been hurting quite a bit these last few days...not sure if that's pregnancy related or not.

Sleep: still up several times a night to pee...I just can't cutoff my water intake after a certain time. I know if I did, it would help the situation, but if I want to chug water at 9pm, then I want to chug water at 9pm! ;)

Food cravings/aversions: nothing strange or in excess

Movement? a ton, but the feel of it is definitely changing as Baby Gomez grows!

What I miss? just a good nights sleep and not having to pee every time I stand up! :)

Best moment(s) this week: Manny took my car in on Saturday to get new brakes and came home with a "Mom Mobile" instead :) (if you know my husband, this is TYPICAL Manny fashion) We needed it! My current car wasn't going to comfortably fit the 3 kiddos in the backseat, but I was just dragging my feet, concerned about an increased car payment, however Manny managed to get a Hyundai Entourage (we LOVE LOVE LOVE Hyundai's!) for only a few dollars more a month than my current car payment AND the van has 20,000some less miles than my car! Yes, it's older but has only had one owner and we all LOVE it! The kids think it's the coolest thing ever! :) Never imagined myself driving a mini-van, but I love it!

What I'm looking forward to: my next appointment (because I'll be getting a growth ultrasound) and Girls Night on Saturday at my friend Lauren's. This will most likely be my last night out (well "in" :)) until after the baby comes, so it'll be nice to see my friends, hang out and eat! :)

Next appointment: 8/21/13

*I took a pic of my bump this morning, but apparently I didn't save it! :( I'll upload a pic later tonight. The belly is still HUGE! ;)

UPDATED: 35 weeks 3 day baby bump :)

34 weeks

How far along? 34 weeks (5 weeks until my c-section :))

Weight gain/loss: I have my OB appointment on Wednesday where I'll find out for sure, but I'm guessing it's a total of 18 lbs...after two weekends in a row of lots of eating, it was bound to happen, but I need to slow it down some! ;)

Symptoms: nothing new

Gender: Surprise baby!!! However, I will say again that I'm 99.9% sure this is a girl...call it instinct, call it relying heavily on the Chinese gender chart predictor ;), call it what you will, but I will be SHOCKED if the doctor pulls out a boy! :)

Maternity clothes? yes! And lots of my cute summer (non maternity) dresses that can still be worn and look adorable! :)

Sleep: up several times a night to pee

Food cravings/aversions: nothing strange or in excess

Movement? a ton. Just this morning something was definitely protruding from my belly...my guess is an elbow or knee! :)

What I miss? not being tired and REALLY snuggling my kiddos! We are very snuggly family (that sounds funny, but I hope you know what I mean! :) and when your belly sticks out 17 feet from your body ;) it's hard to really get in good snuggles! :)

Best moment(s) this week: Manuel really getting to feel the baby kick and seeing my belly going crazy. He and Mia have both claimed they've felt it, but I was never sure if they really did, or just me breathing so it was cute to see how excited Manuel got! :)

What I'm looking forward to: our upcoming weekend of NOTHING! We have been SO busy, and this Momma just needs to rest!

Next appointment: 8/7/13

And for good measure, my 34 week bump:

33 weeks

How far along? 33 weeks (6 weeks until my c-section :))

Weight gain/loss: at my appointment last Wednesday it was confirmed that I'm up a total of 16 lbs. However, after my family reunion weekend of eating SO much food, my next appointment could be a doozy! ;)

Symptoms: nothing new...leg cramps while I sleep, peeing all the time during the night, and tiredness.

Movement? a ton, especially the past few days. I'm not sure if he/she is getting ready for D-day by flipping the correct way or what, but there is some MAJOR movement going in there! :)

What I miss? not being tired, but other than that, I'm perfectly content pregnancy-wise :)

Best moment(s) this week: seeing all my family at our reunion this past weekend. It was an awesome time!!!

What I'm looking forward to: my next appointment (I just like reassurance that everything is moving along well :)) and my cousins baby shower on Saturday.

Next appointment: 8/7/13

And for good measure, my 33 week bump and some family reunion pics (I've been AWFUL about posting anything non-pregnancy related on this blog! :( I hope that changes, but who knows? ;)

My sweet Mia Grace and Vivienne (these two are inseparable! :)
After they saw my cousin Megan and I do belly-to-belly pictures, they wanted in on the action :)

Just being silly with my family :)
Bump-to-bump bellies :) (My cousin Megan is due exactly one month after me :))
The loves of my life :)
Best friends and the loves of my life! ;)

32 weeks

Life is moving along, things are falling into place at our new house, and yesterday I was 32 weeks prego! :) Time is flying, yet creeping, if that makes any sense! ;)

How far along? 32 weeks (yesterday :))

Weight gain/loss: I will find out the official weight gain, according to my doctor tomorow, but I believe I'm up a total of 16 lbs total, up 2 lbs from my last appt.
Symptoms: leg cramps while I sleep, peeing all the time during the night, and tiredness.

Food cravings/aversions: nothing new...I was craving a Chik-fil-A millkshake and hubby brought me home one last night..YUMMO! :)
Movement? a ton

What I miss? not being tired, but I'm the kind of person that LOVES being prego, so I'm going to enjoy these last 7 weeks, no matter what! :)
Best moment(s) this week: Manny getting some "snuggle" time in with my belly. With raising two kids, working full time, moving, trying to get things settled at the new house he hasn't been able to really lay and connect with Baby Bump but he did the other night and it was just a special moment! :)
What I'm looking forward to: our family reunion weekend, this weekend. It's going to be HOT, so awesome to see all of my family. I can't wait! :)
Next appointment: tomorrow, 7/24/13

And for good measure, my 32 week bump, this morning
And as I said on Instagram and Facebook, yes, I own more shirts than this pink one (I feel like I've worn in it several bump pics!) it just happens to be I'm wearing it when I do my documenting! ;)

31 weeks

How far along? 31 weeks (yesterday :))

Weight gain/loss: According to my scale I haven't gained any weight since my appointment last week. I even moved the scale around to a few different spots this morning thinking that couldn't possibly be correct :) but it said the same thing at each spot. I guess we'll know for sure at my next appt. As of now, I'm still up a total of 14 lbs.
Symptoms: continued leg cramps, increased heartburn, and just plain old tired, but considering it's been in the 90's here (with 100+ degree heat index), I'm really not complaining! :)

Sleep: same as before...I have come to terms with the fact that I won't be sleeping again for a VERY long time, seriously! ;) Honestly, I haven't slept a full night since I found out I was prego (not one.single.night) in fact, I've pretty much gotten up 2-3 times a night every.single.night so it is what it is! :)

Food cravings/aversions: thin sliced (and I mean almost paper thin! :) honey ham. I know you aren't really supposed to indulge in lunch meat, so I try not to, but yum, yum, yum! I tried this recipe last night and it's a little slice of Heaven! ;)
Movement? a ton

What I miss? being able to lay down, on my back, without feeling like I'm suffocating :)
Best moment(s) this week: just more settling in at the new house...Manny painted Mia's room/the nursery and although the "mocha" color I picked out is WAYYY pink (which is okay, since I'm convinced it's a girl! ;)) but either way, now we can pick out the crib bedding, etc.
What I'm looking forward to: a friends baby shower brunch on Sunday where I'll get to see friends I haven't seen in FOREVER and my next appointment! :)
Next appointment: my next OB appt is 7/24/13

And for good measure, my 31 week baby bump this morning! :)

30+ weeks

Well hellloooooo friends! :) I have tried posting from Blogger for DAYS now, and for the life of me couldn't get it to where I could type in the body of my post...I could only type a post title and that's it! Talk about frustrating! ;) And then my super genius, computer oriented brain (sarcasm! ;) thought I'd try to do it on Firefox (instead of Internet Explorer) and it worked, YAY!!!!! :)

So, without further ado, here is my 30 week pregnancy update! :) (now I'm closer to 31 weeks, but that's okay! :))

How far along? 30+ weeks

Weight gain/loss: I am up a total of 14 lbs for my entire pregnancy! :) I'm hoping if I keep my numbers low I'll quickly go back to my pre-prego weight and then some! :)

Symptoms: legs cramps and the exhaustion seems to be creeping back (but I'm not sure it ever really left! ;)

Gender: Surprise baby!!! :) We found out with both Manuel and Mia, and since this will be our last child (I can't imagine a 4th c-section) we figured this one should be a surprise!

Maternity clothes? yes! And lots of my cute summer (non maternity) dresses that can still be worn and look adorable! :)

Sleep: I have come to terms with the fact that I won't be sleeping again for a VERY long time, seriously! ;) Honestly, I haven't slept a full night since I found out I was prego (not one.single.night) in fact, I've pretty much gotten up 2-3 times a night every.single.night so it is what it is! :)

Food cravings/aversions: who doesn't love some low fat frozen yogurt? ;)

Movement? a ton!

What I miss? a full nights sleep and Mia being able to sit (comfortably) on my lap

Best moment(s) this week: getting things more together at our new house, and hopefully by this weekend hubby will have Mia's room/the nursery (they'll be sharing) painted so I can start getting everything set up and baby ready! :)

What I'm looking forward to: my OB appointments are now every 2 weeks which means we are in the home stretch (sort of! ;) I can't wait for my family to see me at our annual family reunion next weekend...I haven't seen some of them yet this entire pregnancy (Because they live out of state) so this will be fun! :) Oh, and I'm SO excited to get my hair done next week. I know it sounds SO vain, but seriously, my roots and my greys are driving me insane...Momma needs an update! :)

Next appointment: my next OB appt is 7/24/13

I switched it up this week and did a frontal view (instead of side)
 And an aerial view ;)
And just because I love it...our house post- power washing, grass cutting, tree trimming, etc. (all thanks to hubby, of course! :)) My mom has the most beautiful yard EVER, so she'll be coming over sometime soon and sprucing up the front and backyard for what remains of the summer! :)

29+ weeks (and some house pics)

So Monday came and went and I never posted a 29 week update. Please forgive me as life has been INSANE since we settled on our house last Thursday and have been go, go, go ever since! :) The movers came on Saturday and although everything is moved in, we still have a lifetime bit of work to do! :) (I'm exaggerating...the house is 100% completely livable there are just some tweaks (painting, border down in some rooms, etc.) that I would like done, but all things considered, we are 1000000% blessed! :) Call me lazy and crazy, but moving when you're 7.5 months pregnant in 95+ degree weather was a bit much! :) but again, we're "settled" in and SO happy! I love, love, love how the kids act like each day is a new adventure in the house. I know the "newness" of it will wear off, but in the meantime, it's SO cute to watch! :)

Normally, when 4th of July falls during the week my sister will have her annual cookout either the weekend before or the weekend after, however this year she is choosing to have it on the 4th and I'm actually pretty excited...although I'll be tired for work on Friday at least than I know this upcoming weekend we can really knock out some projects around the house! I'll be sharing pics on the blog of our new home, as we get different rooms "finished" (I have finished in quotes because I mean as we get each room livable...however there could still be more to do in that room (ie take down hideous border in the main floor powder room! ;) but for now, we live with it! :)

First though, my 29 week update...

How far along: 29+ weeks

Symptoms: heartburn, leg cramps and waking up every morning with 3 of my 5 fingers asleep because of the way I lay my hand under my pillow! :) Random, I know but that's been happening the last several morning. Oh, and I have had some SLIGHT swelling in my feet at the end of the day (which is new to me because I had NO swelling AT ALL with Manuel or Mia's pregnancy). Trust me, I'm not complaining though because when I slight, I mean SLIGHT, especially compared to some women I've seen who basically can't differentiate between their leg/ankle/foot area! :)
Weight gain/loss: Per usual, it's just a "guess" (based off of my home scale) in between doctors appointments, but I do believe that I'm a total of about 15 lbs (I'll know for sure next Wednesday at my monthly appt) I was looking through my old medical records (the doctor that delivered Manuel and Mia stopped practicing last year so he gave me all of my files) and I was able to see that at this point in my pregnancy with Manuel I had gained THIRTY ONE lbs (WOWWWWWWWW!) and with Mia I had gained 17 lbs, so I'm happy that pregnancy #3 seems to be following the same path of weight gain that I did with Mia, although I feel absolutely HUGE right now! I'm not sure how much wider (from back to front) my belly can possibly get! :)

Food cravings/aversions: still love me some sushi, and think about it ALL the time but only indulge once in a blue moon!
Movement? a ton!

What I miss? nothing really

Best moment(s) this week: other than becoming homeowners :)....honestly, it has nothing to do with me or my pregnancy it has to do with a high school friend, who has been trying for YEARS to get pregnant and she announced on Facebook that she and her husband are expecting twins!!! I am SO happy for them! :)
What I'm looking forward to: getting the baby/Mia's room set up, and having my next appt on 7/10/13

Next appointment: my next OB appt is 7/10/13

And for good measure my 29 week bump (Here is what I was talking about in my "weight gain/loss" section above...I feel HUGE and I still have 9.5 weeks to go when the baby gains the most weight! Eeeekkkk!

And for good measure, some of the house pics :)
The kitchen (we like the color, not a fan of the border, so that will be coming down eventually)

The kids bathroom (they picked out the decor! :) We'll be painting it blue, sooner rather than later)
The powder room on the main floor (again, this will be painted too, and border (which you can't see) will be taken down)
Family room/basement (this area is basically completed, other than hanging pics, etc.)
Master bedroom (this room is also completed, we just need to hang pics. Although the green that I picked out, that hubby painted, photographs a tad "obnoxious", I promise it's not and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! :)
Another view of the master bedroom

We still have to finish the basement in the bathroom and our master bathroom is complete (decoration-wise) BUT I couldn't get a good pic of it :( When I do, I'll post it. I can't wait until the kids rooms are complete so I can share them as well. The journey has just begun and we couldn't be more excited!!!!! :)

Rockin' the Bump/28 weeks

It was a little over a year ago that I linked up with Things I Can't Say for her 1st "Rockin' the Bump" link up and little did I know, a year later, I'd be rockin' a current bump! :) So, without further ado, my bump and my weekly update! :)

How far along: 28 weeks

Symptoms: nothing new except my leg cramps seem to be a tad worst
Weight gain/loss: Per usual, it's just a "guess" (based off of my home scale) in between doctors appointments, but I do believe that I'm a total of 13 lbs (which is up 1 lb from my last appt on 6/12/13)
Gender: Surprise baby!!! :) We found out with both Manuel and Mia, and since this will be our last child (I can't imagine a 4th c-section) we figured this one should be a surprise!

Maternity clothes? yes!

Food cravings/aversions: Pre-prego I always preferred ground turkey over ground beef, since being pregnant, I'm actually sort of sickened by ground turkey (I'll eat it in something ie spaghetti sauce) but I don't just want a ground turkey burger (which is SO unlike me!)
Movement? a ton!

What I miss? nothing really

Best moment(s) this week: entering my 3rd trimester yesterday, not hearing anything from my doctor about my 3 hour glucose test, so no news is good news (WOOOO HOOOO!!!! :), celebrating Manny's 33rd birthday tomorrow and, God willing, settling on our very first house on Thursday! :)
What I'm looking forward to: hitting my 3rd trimester

Next appointment: my next OB appt is 7/10/13
And for good measure my 28 week bump (and the cutest photo bomber EVER! ;)

And for good measure my 27 week bump in case you missed it last week! :)
