Mobile Monday

I snapped this pic of Manuel with my cellphone on the way to church yesterday. I just thought that the way the sun was shining through the window, as we drove, was neat. I love this little boy more then words can ever express! :)

Side note...I typically don't sit in the back seat with my children, but I had to feed Mia breakfast because we were running late. Oh my, did I just admit to the world that I fed my daughter her cereal and fruit in the car!?!??!?!? Oh well, just being honest! :)

30 Day Blogger Challenge: Day 29

Day 29: 3 wishes...

Oh my, this is a hard one. I clearly have SEVERAL wishes (or prayers) but here goes my Top 3....

1) That my children always love and honor God. That they use Him as the basis of all life decisions and choices. That they are okay with not always being in the "in crowd" if it means saying no and being true to who they are. That they just remain healthy, well-rounded, happy people and ulitmately adults. I don't want to see my children experience and go through what my husband and I went through (by our own choosing) in life. I love them more then words can express, and I know heartache (at some point in their lives) is inevitable, but I pray that deep down, they are always happy!

2) That my husband always stays sober. He's come SO far (that's an understatement) and has made more of his life in the last 18 months then he had in his previous 28 years but I know it can all change in the blink of an eye. I pray that it doesn't! In my heart I am SO optimistic, but I have watched Intervention before, I have been to NA meetings before, and I've seen people with 20+ years of sobriety fall off the wagon. I pray that is NEVER my husband!

3) I wish that stepdad's grandson, Nick makes a full recovery. Nick was burned last Saturday (October 30th) in a bonfire accident. He is only 20 years. He was the picture of health, good looks, all American guy and he is now burned over 60% of his body. He is in a medically induced coma in a burn unit at a local hospital. He is in great hands BUT his recovery is in the earliest stages. His condition is still SO critical. He has already had 3 surgies and MANY more on the horizon. I pray that he makes a full recovery.

30 Day Blogger Challenge: Day 28

Day 28: Something that stresses you out:

Well, I doubt anything I say will be anything different then most Americans, but here it goes :) ...

1) Money. I hate that I allow it to play such a major factor in my life. Do I have a lot of it? No. Do I have enough of it? Apparently, my children, husband and I are clothed, fed, roof over our head, and many extras. Pretty much anyone that reads this post is more then most others in this world. So I don't know why money stresses me as much as I do, but it does. Also, a Christian, I should always know that no matter what, God provides BUT it's hard to always remember that.

2) The health of my children and husband. It's just difficult when you see someone you love SO much hurting in any way. Like I always stress, it's never anything life threatening, but difficult nonetheless.

3) My job. I feel pretty confident in the job I have and the job security I have along with it (I just celebrated 4 years there on November 1st, 2010) BUT I work in the mortgage industry. That is a very unstable, roller coaster ride industry to work, so I always wonder "what if?"

4) And I'm sure there are a million and one other things, but that was the first 3 that popped in to my head! :)

30 Day Blogger Challenge: Day 27

Day 27: Pets

No pets over here! :) My husband hounds me about getting a dog, but I won't budge (at least not now). MAYBE once we get a house, of our own, then I'll think about it! :)

30 Day Blogger Challenge:" Day 26

Day 26: A Picture of Your Family

Okay, so I'm going to post a few pictures because of course I have my immediate family, but I also have my extended family. My family is VERY close, so my aunt and uncle are like seconds moms and dads to me, and my cousins are like siblings.

Manny, Manuel, Mia and I
And the four of us again...our annual Old Time Photo at the beach :)
Ron (my stepdad), the four of us, and my mom. We were cracking up because that's just what we do :)
I'm posting an older picture of my dad, because sometimes, looking at recent pictures of him make me sad. He just looks so sickly. Here is happy, healthy, and the dad I will ALWAYS remember! :)
And here is EVERYONE! My 80 year old Nonna (center, with the lei on :), her 4 children (one of which is my mom), their spouses, their 6 children, and the 7 great grandchildren (actually 8, if you count the one in my sisters belly! :)

Cute Kid Contest

Okay, so every mother thinks her child(ren) are the cutest, right? OF COURSE! So I was reading living our love song today and saw a button for another blog, freckles and fudge on her page and decided to check it out. When I saw that freckles and fudge, along with Unexpected Surprises was having a Cute Kid Contest I thought, "Why not enter Mia?" So here it is...

Why is Mia the cutest you ask? (Oh wait, you didn't ask? I'll tell you anway! ;) Mia is not only cute in her looks, but her personality is SO cute! She is constantly being told by people (even strangers) how happy she seems and what a great temperment she has, and that is true! She is always smiling and laughing. She thinks her big brother (who I will also say is SUPER cute! ;) is the funniest person on the planet and will just sit and stare and watch him play. It's SO cute! She is cute because, at 9 1/2 months, she still does not have a single tooth and who doesn't LOVE a toothless grin from a chubby faced baby!??! I know I do! :)

And if you want to be wonderful and vote for Mia click here ! Or don't vote for Mia and enter your super adorable children. I know SO many of you out there tip the "cuteness scale" when it comes to your babies! SO Cute! :)

Have a great day!

Don't forget about Shutterfly's offer...

Last week I posted about an offer over at Shutterfly for bloggers to win 50 free Christmas cards just by blogging about Shutterfly. It's not a hoax, it's not a scam, it totally works! :) Don't miss out on your chance. Click on this link and sign up! (http://blog.shutterfly.com/5358/holiday2010-blog-submission-form/) WHY NOT!?!??! Hurry, the offer ends December 31st, but HELLO, your cards have to be sent out by the end of November at the latest, at least in my house! :)

And, since no one I know "in real life" reads this blog, I can post the finished product here. I'm not even posting "outtakes" from our photo shoot on my Facebook page because I want the picture on the card to be "brand new" when my family and friends receive them! (I'm a dork, I know! But this is SO hard for me. I post new pics on Facebook daily, so to not post any of these has been a challenge! :)

I have sent out photo Christmas cards since Manuel's 1st Christmas, and this is, by far, my favorite card yet. Thank you Shutterfly!

And for good measure...
