The Paper Mama Photo Challenge: Me and Mama

LOVE this week's theme at The Paper Mama! :) I was torn between pics of Manuel and I, or pics of Mia and I. I went with this one of Mia and I at the beach this past summer. We were killing time while my hubby and son were looking for an umbrella stroller (LONG story! Apparently 4 year olds don't like walking up and down the boardwalk 5,000 times! Oops! :) So, Mia and I were sitting on a bench, people watching, and of course, it couldn't have been more perfect of a time for a self pic! :) I love the ornery little look in her eyes.

Mobile Monday and a Thank You!

Happy Monday (UGH!!!!! :)

My dear sweet, adorable, precious, wonderful, amazing, beautiful daughter Mia has decided that sleep isn't necessary. I am SOOO tired today! Don't get me wrong, I'm used to lack of sleep, as I've been dealing with it for almost 9 months BUT some nights just REALLY get to me, especially when I have to wake up (assuming I've gotten any sleep :) and go to work and be highly functioning! :) BUT that's all part of motherhood, so I'll drink my coffee and shuffle through my work day! But I wanted to post my "Mobile Monday" pic...

A beautiful Monday morning sky! :) (I wish my attitude was beautiful on this Monday morning! ;)

And a big thank you to Chelsey at The Paper Mama for picking my "Confusion" pics as one of her favorites. Grant it, my photography skills are elementary (or dare I say "preschool level" :) compared to the other people who enter her challenges, it meant a lot that, because my picture gave her a good laugh, she recognized it! :) So I get to add one of her cute buttons...

Friday Funnies

It's been a few weeks since I've participated in the Triple Blessing link up, Friday Funnies. We all know kids do say the darndest things. Every time Manuel says something, I think, "Gotta write that down!" and then I forget! :(

I do have a few though...

Manuel was telling me about his school day and then he said,
"Mommy, do you know what "K" told me today?" (his best buddy at school)
I thought, "OH NOOOOO! What????" And I said, "No, what?"
He said, "K told me that his mommy and daddy take showers together."
I thought, "OHHHH NOOOO! Please let this conversation end RIGHT NOW!" I said, "Really? Well that's not really something K should be telling you."
And THANKFULLY that was the end of THAT conversation. K is very sweet, his parents are very sweet, but I guess perhaps K is seeing a bit too much or his poor parents don't even know that he know. OH MY!

Manuel said, "Mommy, why don't you have one of those earrings in your belly?" (talking about a belly button piercing). I should have said, "Mommy has NOOO business wearing anything that excenuates her belly! :) But I just told him, "Some girls chose to do that, but that's not really for mommy!" :) And I'm not even sure where he saw this at!

I am very particular when it comes to eating chicken. I really only eat chicken breasts. We had chicken for dinner one night and Manuel wanted the only chicken breast. I yelled from the family room to my husband in the kitchen, "Just give him my breast!" To which Manuel replied, "Yeah, just give me mommies breast!" Mental note: think about the words before they come out of your mouth Christina! :)

Five Question Friday

Clearly I'm not in the mood to work today :)



1. What do you listen to while driving?
My children if they are in the car, and usually always 95.1 (our local Christian radio station). I LOVE Christian music, but an added plus is that I don't have to worry about if my ever-curious-4-year-old is going to pick up anything he SHOULDN'T be picking up! :)


2. What is your least favorite thing about Fall? NOTHING! Well, except maybe that it means Winter isn't too far behind! :(

3. What does your dream house look like, inside and out? My dream house is very simple! A 3 bedroom house, a nice back and front yard, a wrap around porch. Just cute and quaint! With plenty of space and area to decorate for the holidays! :)

4. Would you ever own a minivan? Sure!

5. Do you wash new clothes before wearing them? the kids clothes-yes. My clothes-not usually. Ewww, should I be????? :)

Fill in the blank Friday

Good Morning! :) I came across Lauren's fun link up over the little things we do


1. The first thing I do in the morning to start my day is check on the kiddos who are IDEALLY still sleeping :) and then jump in the shower.

2. Today I wish I was doing something fun and "Fally" that did NOT include working! :)

3. If I had an extra $100 in my bank account today I'd go clothes shopping for the kids. Manuel has outgrown EVERYTHING from last season, and Mia needs adorable sweaters and jeans! :)

4. Tomorrow I will possibly take the kids to the pumpkin patch, while hubby goes crabbing with my Uncle.

5. Two things that don't go together are my hair and humidity! I have naturally curly hair, that I straighten daily, and humidity/rain ruins it ALL! :) Thankfully Fall is here and hopefully that won't be an issue until next Summer! :)

6. Something I can never pass up at the grocery store is nothing. I don't do the grocery shopping. My hubby does! :)

7. The last time I tried something new was when my co-worker had me try her hummus. I loved it! Go visit and link up!
